Title: Scheuermann's disease and its most recent approaches to conservative treatment - a systematic review Objective: This diploma thesis aims to evaluate the most commonly used therapeutic approaches in adolescents with Morbus Scheuermann and analyze which of the physiotherapeutic approaches are most effective. Methods: This diploma thesis is processed as a systematic review search using databases PubMed, Scopus, EBSCOhost, Web of Science, Science Direct. The first part of this thesis contains the current knowledge and theoretical bases of Morbus Scheuermann. The second part has a descriptive-analytical character. It contains an analysis of a study where was used conservative movement therapy. Results: After the final review of the studies, only 1 study was qualified to be included in this research. The study examined the effectiveness of treatment of Scheuermann's disease using the Schroth method. Because only one study was used in the review, it is not possible to evaluate the results of the studies. It is also not possible to interpret, which conservative therapy is the most effective. However, the study showed higher effectiveness of therapy in patients enrolled in the intervention group, using the Schroth method. Keywords Morbus Scheuermann; juvenile kyphosis; Scheuermann's kyphosis;...

Title: Quality of life of women with urinary stress incontinence Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to assess quality of life of women after conservative therapy and chirurgic therapy of urinary stress incontinence in Brno-město and Brno- venkov district. Methods: We did a questionnaire survey on quality of life by using a standardized questionnaire I-QoL (Urinary Incontinence Quality-of-life questionnaire). The questionnaire survey was conducted in patients after conservative or surgical therapy by TVT or TOT tape. Subjectively perceived quality of life of these patients after completion of the therapy was observed. The results were compared between the groups undergoing conservative and surgical therapy by TVT or TOT tape. Results: After the output assessment of quality of life of patients after the treatment, we found that there is a difference in the quality of life of patients treated conservatively and surgically by TVT or TOT tape. Patients treated surgically had higher quality of life than patients treated conservatively by 9%. We also found that there is a difference in the physical, mental and social scores of the groups. The respondents who were treated conservatively had lower score in all evaluated areas with the greatest difference in the physical area and the smallest difference...

The possibilities of physiotherapy of carpal tunnel syndrome by sewers
PLAČKOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of carpal tunnel syndrome. The research topic is work of sewers and elimination of health problems, which emerge after a sewer, had performer this work for long time without taking proper compensation. I present theoretic knowledge in the first part that makes foundation for the research part. I refer to upper extremity anatomy and its setting to the motion and I refer to ergonomic principles, which influence the posture quality. In addition to it, I refer to knowledge of carpal tunnel syndrome and possibilities of physiotherapy intervention. The aim of the thesis is to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy of this dysfunction, to suggest a therapy and to focus on adjustment of work environment which should prevent sewers' wrists and their posture from overburdening. The research part utilizes the qualitative methods, which want to evaluate data gained from three probands. The methods I use are observation, comparison, survey, semi-structured dialog and kinesiology analysis. I perform in therapy manual techniques, kinesiotherapeutic and occupational therapy methods and consulting on increasing the quality of sewers work. I noticed after four-month therapy that clinical symptoms of CTS (carpal tunnel syndrome) which the probands were suffering from were reduced because of selected health care. Work condition adjustment of each proband was made through the instruction. Its assessment could not be carried out because I did not have the opportunity to check it. The results did not attest anything after such short period. Even though final neurological screening did not prove the improved median nerve conducting, both aims of the bachelor thesis were successfully accomplished.
Complex rehabilitation after replacement of anterior cruciate ligament of knee joint and return to preoperative acitivites
BOOROVÁ, Pavla
As the topic of my bachelor thesis I chose "Comprehensive rehabilitation after replacement of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint and return to preoperative activities". I chose this topic because the rupture of LCA is very common especially with athletes with whom I would like to work in the future. Another reason was the fact that I have a personal experience with the LCA rupture and I would like to get more into this issue. The anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the knee joint is described in the theoretical part. I consider the chapter in which I deal with the mechanism of LCA injury interesting. I believe that this information could be beneficial not only for athletes. An important chapter the treatment of LCA injury is the one, where I describe both operative and conservative treatment and a chapter dedicated to physiotherapy after LCA sculpture, where I describe the various stages of rehabilitation and the techniques and procedures used. For the practical part I chose the method of qualitative research. The research group contained a total of four patients after LCA rupture. Two of them were treated operatively, and two conservatively. The therapy with surgically treated patients took place between 5th -10th postoperative week, and monitoring conservatively treated patients lasted 4 weeks. All patients were athletic people aged 32 to 52 years. Initial and final kinesiological examinations and appropriate therapy were performed within research. The aim of this work was to determine an appropriate rehabilitation plan that was optimal for patients after LCA surgery and to map alternative methods of treatment for LCA injury. The results of the research show that in the surgically solved patients regular exercise primarily resulted in an increase in joint extent, muscle strength and stability in the knee joint. In the conservatively solved patients we managed to ensure a better stability of the knee joint above all, which was most affected in both patients. This work can be used as a study material for physiotherapists in their clinical practice or for physiotherapy students interested in this issue.
